You’ve probably wondered if you could make it at home, haven’t you? Well, luckily for you I have a super easy to follow Thai iced coffee recipe for you to use!
You’re only going to need a few ingredients:
- 2 cups of strongly brewed coffee or instant coffee (Nescafe Instant Coffee)
- 4-6 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk
- ¼ cup of evaporated milk
Brewing Strong Coffee
If you’re not sure how to brew strong coffee it’s pretty easy to do! To brew double strength coffee, you’re going to want to use 4 tablespoons coffee for every 6 ounces water.
For this recipe specifically you’ll want to use 8 1/2 tablespoons of coffee and 16 ounces of water for brewing your coffee.
The traditional way that this coffee is made on the streets of Thailand use instant coffee, Nescafe Instant Coffee. Either one is fine, it’s totally up to you which kind of coffee you want to use!
Let’s Make Your Thai Iced Coffee: Instructions
Putting your Thai iced coffee together is pretty straight forward!
After brewing your coffee/instant coffee put it in the fridge and let it cool down, around 10-15 minutes. You don’t want your coffee to melt all the ice and dilute your drink 😟
Into a measuring cup or something that allows you to pour, add your sweetened condensed milk. When you’re coffee has been cooled down a bit, add it to the condensed milk.
Give it a good stir! Make sure that everything has been mixed well and there aren’t any large pieces of condensed milk floating around.
Pour this mixture over a glass full of ice, your Thai iced coffee is almost complete now!
The last step is to top off your Thai iced coffee with some evaporated milk for creaminess and well… to look aesthetically pleasing
